1972 350 / 4 speed Cutlass Supreme Convertible

Was on Ebay in late 2001 from PA, now in NY

I flipped when this was listed on Ebay in December 2001.  I had just bought my white V Code 442 convertible, but this was 1) VIKING BLUE, 2) a 4 speed, 3) heavily documented and #s matching, 4) VIKING BLUE, and 5) in western PA, only a couple hours from me.  I was heavy in the bidding, had funds ready, and planned to snag it at auctions's end, but a guy from NY who was looking for a Chevelle ragtop came to see it and bought it for $8500 or so prior to the end of the auction. I was ticked off for days after that.

I talked to the seller and here's the info he gave me: One female owner - car was from Indiana state and was always maintained at the Olds dealership from new.  Had its original #s matching 350 and M20, code 26 Viking Blue. Posi rear, original trunk mat, dated top boot, original carpet.  The tick-tock-tach worked, had AM/FM.  Per the original owner, the cutout rear bumper was on it since new. No trunk or floor rust at all. One blister on the right rear quarter, and both fender heels were professionally repaired.
