History:  Excerpts from the Ebay listing by Bruce Bachmann of Texas, who owned the car from 1998 to Nov. 2003:

The history of the car as related to me:  The vehicle was purchased new in New Mexico by a gentleman who had a drinking problem. After numerous DWI's the last resulting in the left fender meeting a pole the car was parked and the owner lost his license and ability to buy insurance. Althought the damage was minor the vehicle sat until purchased by a gentlman who brought the car to Abilene. The left front fender, spindle and A-frame were replaced... This second owner also had the motor completely gone thru in June of 1988. I have a copy of the machine shop invoice. Shortly after this the owner committed suicide. In 1989 the vehicle was purchased by a local repair shop owner with a very good reputation and he completed overseeing the rest of the restoration which included new interior, top, paint, brakes, exhaust, shocks, etc... In 1992 the vehicle was purchased by a friend. The mileage at that time was 44,422. He kept written records of all work, oil changes, etc. While in his possession he purchased the correct AM/FM radio to replace the AM radio. He also bought a complete set (5) of American Racing Torque Thrust wheels (new-period correct) and Kelly Charger white letter radial tires. I have the original factory wheels and Firestone tires (5). The spare has never been on the ground.
